fL♡ա㉹r ɱĨᖆᖆōᖆ attempts to recreate with the graphics card the pastel iridescent effect that is trendy in textiles & femme consumerism. Hinting at selfie culture, the obsession of staring at oneself's beauty in the phone's front-facing camera is similar to the obsession of staring at iridescent objects.
You can zoom in, zoom out, spin & move around the flowers to get lost in the light hitting the fresnel shader at different angles, similar to the way one gets lost staring at the image of oneself in the mirror.
The work was made for the virtual exhibition at The Wrong Biennale (2018) "INTERNET FAME" Pavillion. The group show was curated by Clusterduck and shown IRL at Panke Gallery (Berlin) in January 2018, & the show was featured as an event for Transmediale Vorspiele 2018 (Berlin).
